NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Niceville-Valparaiso Kiwanis Club has been recognized as a Distinguished Club by Kiwanis International for the 2023-2024 year, highlighting its dedication to service, leadership, and improving the lives of children and families.
Kiwanis International selects Distinguished Clubs annually based on their commitment to service projects, leadership development, and community impact.
The Niceville-Valparaiso club earned the honor through its initiatives, including college scholarships and support for organizations such as Children in Crisis, the Children’s Advocacy Center, Studer Children’s Hospital at Sacred Heart, and Sharing and Caring.
“We are incredibly honored to receive this recognition,” said Dr. Bo Arnold, President of the Niceville-Valparaiso Kiwanis Club.
“This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our members, who continuously strive to make a positive impact on our community.”
The club, which has served the Niceville and Valparaiso communities since 1975, focuses on education, child welfare, and community engagement. Through partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and other organizations, members work to create opportunities for children to succeed.
“This achievement reflects the strong spirit of service in our club,” added David Kerr, club president during the 2023-24 year.

Kiwanis International, a volunteer-led organization with clubs in more than 80 countries, aims to improve the world through service projects that support children.
