Jim ‘N Nick’s of Destin and Niceville selected as two of three locations nationwide to serve new breakfast menu

April 1, 2014 (DESTIN, Fla.) – Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q in Destin and Niceville have been selected as two of only three locations to begin serving breakfast, out of over 3o locations nationwide.

Featuring classic southern dishes such as Chicken and Waffles and Pork & Grits, Jim ‘N Nick’s will also offer traditional breakfast plates including farm fresh eggs, biscuits made daily from scratch, beef brisket, smoked ham and more.  They will also serve pork products from heritage hogs, raised specially for Jim ‘N Nick’s throughout the southeast.  Guests can also enjoy their favorite breakfast beverages, including Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas.

The Destin location will offer a full-service breakfast menu everyday from 7 am- 11 am.  The drive-thru-only Jim ‘N Nick’s location in Niceville is offering the taco and biscuit breakfast, served daily from 6 am- 10:30 am.

Jim ‘N Nick’s also recently went through a nationwide brand renewal campaign and has added new menu items with an innovative twist such as a Smoked Cuban Sandwich, Pimento Cheese Sandwich with house-made bacon jam, and small plates like Creamy Collard Green Dip.

Owners and well-known local restaurateurs Wayne Lewis, Dave Hudson and Tom Rice are excited and honored to have their stores selected to begin the new tradition of Jim ‘N Nick’s breakfast.

“With Spring Break upon us and summer on its way, this is a perfect time to unveil our breakfast menu,” said Dave Hudson. “Both locals and guests visiting the area know the reputation of Jim ‘N Nick’s, and we are excited to now offer them a hearty, homemade breakfast.”

Jim ‘N Nick’s style of bar-b-q is a labor of love developed by Jim Pihakis and his son Nick Pihakis, and passed on to local owners across the country. The brand’s first unit was opened in Birmingham, AL in 1985. Today there are 33 Jim ‘N Nick’s locations (and growing) in Colorado, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, making Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q, one of the South’s most well-respected restaurant groups. After more than 28 years, the company’s commitment to traditional recipes, scratch-made integrity without shortcuts, genuine community service, and a deep respect and appreciation for their customers, has set them apart from the rest. The company is passionate about community involvement and partners with numerous national and local non-profits such as Jones Valley Teaching Farm, the Southern Foodways Alliance, Seaside Neighborhood School, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast, Shelter House Domestic Violence Center of Okaloosa/Walton County and numerous others who share in the spirit of caring for the community. That spirit of community is a key element of what guides the business philosophy and fuels the fire in the pits every day at Jim ‘N Nick’s Bar-B-Q.
