According to Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC), the production tells the story of four close-harmony singers who receive one final chance to perform the show they never delivered after dying in a car crash. The musical features classic songs from the 1950s, including “Chain Gang,” “Sixteen Tons,” and “Catch a Falling Star.”

ECTC Producing Artistic Director Nathanael Fisher said the production celebrates the power of music and shared experiences.

“Forever Plaid celebrates both the golden age of harmony and the kind of music that brings people together,” said Mr Fisher.

“It’s full of charm, laughter, and beautiful harmonies that remind us why live theatre feels so special.”

The production stars Vincent Pelligrino as Smudge, Tommy Bergeron as Jinx, Michael Votaw as Sparky, and Jacob Feldstein as Francis. ECTC said the cast aims to bring humor, warmth, and musical precision to the nostalgic performance.

Mr Pelligrino previously appeared in ECTC’s production of “Mary Poppins,” and Mr Bergeron most recently performed in “Murder on the Orient Express,” according to the theatre company.

The creative team includes Trenton Bainbridge as director, Ora Wolfgram as properties master, Maxwell Jenns-Binetti as stage manager, Mr Bergeron as music director, Mr Pelligrino as choreographer, Taylor Walker as costume designer, Carl Hendin as master carpenter, Rebeca Lake as lighting and scenic designer, and Gavin Young as sound engineer.

ECTC said its 2025–2026 season is supported by Grand Boulevard Town Center, St. Joe Community Foundation, Visit South Walton, Howard Group, and Jerry and Alice Zich.
