Grant Meyer named Assistant Superintendent of Operations for OCSD

NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Okaloosa County School Board has approved Grant Meyer‘s appointment as the district’s new Assistant Superintendent of Operations.

At the August 12, 2024, school board meeting, Mr Meyer, who has a long history with the Okaloosa County School District (OCSD), was officially named to the position.

Meyer began his educational career teaching and coaching at Fort Walton Beach High School before transferring to Niceville High School, his alma mater, where he taught social studies and coached. His extensive experience includes roles as Assistant Principal at Niceville High School, Principal at both Pryor Middle School and Destin Middle School, and Director I over district operations.

Mr Meyer holds a master’s in educational leadership from the University of West Florida. He is committed to the success of all students and supports educators throughout Okaloosa County.

Meyer is married to Amy Meyer, a fellow district principal, and they have two grown sons.
