This week, drivers will encounter U.S. 98 east and westbound single-lane closures near the County Road 30A intersection between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving operations.

— U.S. 98 Resurfacing from east of U.S. 331 to Peach Creek

In October, crews completed paving the turn lanes at the U.S. 98/County Road 283 intersection in Santa Rosa Beach. In this photo, you can see paving work underway on the “turnout” at the northwest corner of the intersection. A “turnout” is a widened area at an intersection that provides space for wide turns—specifically U-turns—to be made. This work is part of the U.S. 98 resurfacing project, from east of U.S. 331 to Peach Creek in Walton County. This project is estimated to be completed later this year. — I-10 Resurfacing from East of U.S. 331 to East of County Road 183 Overpass
Drivers will encounter intermittent westbound and eastbound daytime lane closures Monday, Nov. 6 through Thursday, Nov. 9 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for paving operations.

All activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
