Construction continues in the State Road 85 median south of Hospital Drive as crews construct a new northbound left-turn lane access to the Crestview Commons. This photo shows crews using a motor grader to level the asphalt base adjacent to the inside northbound travel lane. Motor graders have an adjustable blade that produces flat surfaces during the grading process. This work is part of the State Road 85 improvement project, from State Road 123 to Hospital Drive. The $25 million project also includes resurfacing an 11-mile section of State Road 85, improving the State Road 85/I-10 interchange, and upgrading access management for key turn lanes, side streets, driveways, and median openings. The project is currently estimated for completion in summer 2024. (Contributed)
