Looking for something to do over the weekend? Come to “Saturday at the Museum!” January 30, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., at the Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida. Adults, seniors, and military members will be charged the same reduced rate as children, only $3 per person. Guests of all ages may participate in an instructed craft time with history lesson at either 11 a.m. or 2 p.m.
Pack your lunches, bring your family and friends, and plan to stay for the day. View historic exhibits and learn about the heritage of Northwest Florida. Play in the hands-on Discovery Room for kids, and picnic in Paradise Gardens or at one of Valparaiso’s beautiful city parks.
Museum exhibitions include “Pieces of the Past: Okaloosa’s Centennial”, “1915 Early Transportation” and many more. And, a must see for the history buff, for a limited time through January 14, “Rural Electrification”, an exhibit presented by the Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative marking their 75th anniversary.
