EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — The 96th Test Wing at Eglin Air Force Base has recognized outstanding airmen, civilians, and teams during its annual awards ceremony held March 6.
According to the 96th Test Wing, the awards honor individuals and teams whose performance and service made significant contributions to the mission during the past year.
Senior Airman Christopher J. Roy of the 96th Civil Engineer Squadron was named the winner in the Airman Category.
Tech. Sgt. Freddy Scott of the 96th Logistics Readiness Squadron received the award in the Noncommissioned Officer Category.
Senior Master Sgt. Damon Crawford of the 96th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was recognized in the Senior Noncommissioned Officer Category.
Master Sgt. Derek Medlenka of the 96th Civil Engineer Squadron earned the award in the First Sergeant Category.
Capt. John Despard of OFP CTF was honored in the Company Grade Officer Category, while Maj. Mary Storey of the 96th Medical Group received the award in the Field Grade Officer Category.
In the civilian categories, Kenneth Hopkins of the 96th Civil Engineer Squadron won Civilian Category I. Bradley Wilken, also of the 96th Civil Engineer Squadron, received the Civilian Category II award.
Alexis Franco of the 96th Wing Staff Agency was recognized as the Civilian Category III winner.
Cassie Malleck was named Key Spouse Liaison of the year.
The Small Team Category award went to the Munitions Inspection team from the 96th Maintenance Squadron.
The Large Team Category award was presented to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight of the 96th Civil Engineer Squadron.
Airman First Class Jasmin Henry of the 96th Force Support Squadron was recognized as the 96th Test Wing Volunteer of the Year.
Capt. Quinten Morgan of the 96th Range Group received the Individual Mobilization Augmentee Company Grade Officer award, while Maj. Heather Hoang of the 46th Test Squadron was honored as the Individual Mobilization Augmentee Field Grade Officer winner.
Senior Airman James Cabrera of the 33rd Fighter Wing (Team Eglin) received recognition as Honor Guardsman of the Year.
Hafdis Miller was recognized with the Eglin Volunteer Excellence Award.
