NICEVILLE, Fla. — A new milestone for the Deer Moss Creek development was marked last week with the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newest section of Deer Moss Loop and the highly anticipated north bridge.

Local leaders, community partners, and project stakeholders gathered at the corner of Deer Moss Loop and College Boulevard to celebrate the opening. Attendees drove along the newly completed road to the bridge, where a brief ceremony marked the achievement.

The new infrastructure provides improved traffic flow and connectivity while supporting the continued growth of Deer Moss Creek, a mixed-use, master-planned community in Niceville.

Marion Ruckel Skalicky, President and CEO of Ruckel Properties, credited the City of Niceville, the Ruckel Properties team, and several partners for their roles in completing the addition.

She highlighted the importance of the roadway to the Deer Moss Creek development, underscoring its role in connecting the community and enhancing accessibility.

“Every project starts with an idea, and many people help that idea down its path to the finished product,” she said.

Ms Ruckel Skalicky said key contributors to the project included Matrix Design Group for land planning and bridge design, Gustin, Cothern & Tucker (GCT) for surveying, Jenkins Engineering for civil engineering, and Young’s Contracting and Murphree Bridge Company for construction.
