CRESTVIEW, Fla. — Following a traffic stop by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), a Crestview woman is now facing numerous charges.

Destiny Mae Jackson, 27, is charged with Fleeing and Eluding Law Enforcement, Resisting an Officer without Violence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, the OCSO said on its Facebook page.

According to the OCSO, on April 13, deputies initiated a traffic stop in Crestview on a vehicle driven by Ms Jackson. After she pulled over, deputies said they “developed probable cause” and instructed Jackson to exit the vehicle.

She reportedly refused and fled from the scene. Following a brief pursuit, the OCSO said Ms Jackson surrendered.

According to the OCSO, the paraphernalia allegedly found in Jackson’s possession tested positive for the presence of fentanyl. The OCSO said it is actively investigating the incident.
