CRESTVIEW, Fla. — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said it has arrested three individuals from the Crestview area following reports of multiple vehicle burglaries, gunfire, and the sounds of racing cars in the Auburn community

Residents in the Autumn Woods subdivision reported gunfire and the sound of cars racing around 2:30 Thursday morning, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said in a press release.

Deputies responding to the call said they made contact with three individuals they found directly outside the neighborhood, leading to burglary and grand theft charges against the trio.

All three are now charged with armed burglary and grand theft.

According to the OCSO report, it arrested Jailin Martin, 20, Grady Sutton, 18, and Daniel Johnson, 16.

Johnson allegedly admitted burglarizing a vehicle on Autumn Woods Drive with Martin and Sutton, saying they were armed with a rifle at the time.

The shots fired and reported burglaries are believed to be connected, the OCSO said.

The investigation is ongoing.
