CRESTVIEW, Fla. — A Crestview man who reportedly attempted to flee during a traffic stop has been charged with trafficking in fentanyl by deputies with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO).
According to the OCSO, Nathaniel Parker, 43, of Crestview, was found with 30 pills of fentanyl, marijuana, a gram of cocaine, a digital scale, and plastic baggies.
The OCSO said a deputy conducted a routine traffic stop of Mr Parker’s vehicle near Savage Street in Crestview last weekend. Parker reportedly attempted to flee, but deputies quickly caught him.
During the stop, deputies said they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from Mr Parker’s vehicle. A subsequent search reportedly uncovered fentanyl, marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.
Parker faces charges including trafficking in fentanyl, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license (second or subsequent offense), and resisting an officer.
