CRESTVIEW, Fla. — A narcotics search in Crestview has led to felony trafficking charges after methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, a firearm, and drug paraphernalia were reportedly recovered, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) announced.
The OCSO said the Multi-Agency Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on July 11 at a home located at 103 Terrell Drive in Crestview.
The task force reportedly found more than 14 grams of methamphetamine, at least four grams of fentanyl, cocaine, a firearm, and related drug paraphernalia during the search.
As a result, 39-year-old Javaris Dawsey was arrested and charged with the following:
- Trafficking in fentanyl (four grams or more)
- Trafficking in methamphetamine (14 grams or over)
- Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine)
- Possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon
- Obstruction of a search warrant
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
The Multi-Agency Drug Task Force is comprised of members from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Walton Beach Police Department, Crestview Police Department, and the Niceville Police Department.
Mr Dawsey was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail following the search.
