NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Okaloosa County School District and the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office have announced the return of the Angel Tree Program, which provides holiday gifts for local students in need.
Sheriff Eric Aden and Superintendent Marcus Chambers said the program continues to serve as a way for staff, businesses, and community members to help students from families facing financial hardships during the holiday season.
Last year, more than 300 children received gifts through the program. This fall, guidance counselors and school resource officers are working together to identify students and create wish lists.
“These are not just gifts—they represent moments of hope, smiles of surprise, and reminders that our community cares,” the announcement stated.
Community members can support the effort by sponsoring a student or making a monetary donation. Donations may be made through the program’s website at ocsostarcharity.com/angel-tree.
