Catch the Magic School Bus, Niceville FL

(Niceville, FL) – The Niceville Public Library invites children ages 6-12 years to take part in its popular “Catch the Magic School Bus” after school program.

Catch the Magic School Bus is held the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 4:15-5:30 p.m., in the library’s Youth Services program room.

The after school program is based on the animated children’s series originally aired in the 1990s on PBS. It was adapted from a series of books written by Joanna Cole and illustrated by Bruce Degen. The series follows an eccentric schoolteacher (Ms. Frizzle) as she takes her elementary school class on very exotic field trips which teach scientific topics. These adventures are made possible by a magical school bus.

Every month the Niceville Library program focuses on a different Magic School Bus book and includes fun facts, hands-on activities, cool science and a Ms. Frizzle mystery or two.

On January 13, Ms. Frizzle and the class go inside the human body.

Space is limited so registration is required. Please register each month in Youth Services or call 279-4863, extension 1514.
