NICEVILLE, Fla. — The 14th Annual Invasion on the Bayou is set for Saturday, March 21, 2026, bringing boaters and paddlers together on Rocky Bayou for a season kickoff focused on safe water practices.
Participants are invited to gather on the west side of the Rocky Bayou Bridge for a group photo scheduled promptly at 10 a.m. Boaters, sailors, canoers, kayakers, stand-up paddleboarders, jet skiers, and seaplanes are all invited to take part in the event.
Pirate costumes are encouraged as part of the fun, community-focused atmosphere.
According to organizers, larger vessels are asked to be in position for the photo by 9:30 a.m. to allow smaller vessels to join the flotilla safely.
Following the group photo, a paddle to the back of Rocky Bayou is planned.
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will also be on site at Bluewater Bay Marina, Bluewater High and Dry, and the boat ramp to conduct vessel safety inspections.
Inspections are available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and participants may call ahead to schedule at 850-897-2821.
Organizers said the event highlights both community spirit and the importance of safe boating across all types of watercraft.
