FLORIDA — A supplier in a large drug-trafficking ring operating out of Boynton Beach has been arrested, according to Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Office of Statewide Prosecution Office (OSP).

William Moyo, the alleged supplier, has been charged with felony counts of trafficking cocaine and conspiracy to traffic cocaine. Mr. Moyo reportedly supplied cocaine and fentanyl for the Big Boi drug-trafficking ring, in which authorities have already arrested 17 defendants.

Ms Moody emphasized the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to target drug traffickers.

“Law enforcement continues to take poison peddlers and their deadly products off our streets, and this latest arrest should serve as a warning to anyone looking to traffic drugs in our state,” she said.

“Florida law enforcement will track you down, and my Statewide Prosecutors will ensure you end up in prison.”

The investigation reportedly revealed that Mr. Moyo supplied multiple kilograms of cocaine and fentanyl to the drug-trafficking ring said to be led by Johnson Joseph. Authorities allegedly seized more than 20 kilograms of cocaine during a search of Moyo’s residence.

The Big Boi drug-trafficking ring allegedly distributed fentanyl and cocaine throughout Palm Beach County. Over the course of the investigation, authorities reportedly seized a combined 50 pounds of cocaine and other illicit substances.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement funded the law enforcement action through the State Assistance Enforcement for Fentanyl Eradication grant.

Moyo faces charges of trafficking in cocaine and conspiracy to traffic in cocaine, with each charge involving quantities between 400 grams and 150 kilograms.

The OSP is handling the cases of Mr. Moyo and the other defendants arrested in connection with the drug trafficking ring.
