NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health on Saturday reported 38 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa is 19,942.
The FDOH reports the total number of people killed by COVID-19 in Okaloosa is 356, no change since the previous report.
Statewide, 6,906 new cases were reported by the FDOH. The current cumulative total is 2,118,713. The total number of Florida residents who have died from COVID-19 in the state is 34,014.

The cumulative number of hospitalizations in Okaloosa is 715, two more since the previous day. Currently, there are 10 COVID-19 patients in Okaloosa County hospitals.
According to the FDOH, since the previous report, there were 498 test results returned in Okaloosa with 38 positives. The daily positivity rate is 7.63 percent.
According to the FDOH, Okaloosa’s weekly positivity rate is 3.73 percent for the week ending April 3, down from 5.12 percent the previous week.
Florida’s current weekly positivity rate is 9.7 percent (7-day moving average) according to Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Center data.
