Make your list and check it twice! This holiday concert is more than just nice!! A Peter White Christmas featuring Rick Braun & Mindi Abair is coming to town… and back for its 13th season December 11, 7:30 p.m., at the Emerald Coast Conference Center.
Contemporary jazz lovers eagerly await this annual fun filled concert which has packed fans into halls and arenas coast-to-coast year after year. The unique appeal of blending familiar holiday music with smooth jazz has made “A Peter White Christmas” a holiday tradition on the Emerald Coast.
The show is family friendly and sure to add that spark of holiday spirit to even the most extreme Scrooges.
Peter White is an extraordinary and fluent acoustic guitarist whose skills are world-renown.  Mindi Abair is a double-edged talent from her fluid saxophone to emotive vocals.  And Rick Braun is a masterful trumpet/flugelhorn player whose warm tones transform the simplest melody into a work of art.  They have separately sold literally millions of records, and together produce an on-stage synergy that is both entertaining and memorizing.
Fans across the Gulf Coast who see the show, return year-after-year to celebrate the holidays –and share the positive, fun, and cool vibe of contemporary smooth jazz and holiday music so expertly paired.
Tickets are $40 General Admission and $80 Front Section Seating and available at Playground Music Center in Ft. Walton Beach.  Tickets can be charged by phone at 800-595-4849 or purchased online at www.seabreeze.fm.
Sponsored by ResortQuest by Wyndham Vacation Rentals and WSBZ The Seabreeze 106.3 FM.
Peter recalls: “My earliest memories of Christmas were probably not much different from many other people: snowflakes, tinsel, Santa Claus, reindeer and the opening of presents surrounded by family. As a child my father taught me to play Christmas music on my first instrument, the recorder, and my love for Christmas music has endured throughout the years. I hope this tour will be an opportunity for many Smooth Jazz fans to enjoy their favorite Christmas songs in a family setting. You know, I might even bring my recorder!” Peter White’s classic acoustic guitar style can be enjoyed through an ever-growing and best-selling catalog including his latest release on Heads Up “Smile ” (2014).
Says Rick Braun: “Christmas reminds me of the cold weather in PA where I grew up and long car trips with my family with the windows all steamy and rolled up, seeing lights in the windows of houses and then being with my dad and the whole family for turkey and football.” Rick’s latest CD on Artistry Music is “Can You Feel It” (2014).
Mindi Abair again joins forces with Peter and Rick giving concert goers a uniquely uplifting and musically rewarding holiday celebration to remember. Mindi’s latest release, “Wild Heart”, continues her career as one of Smooth Jazz’ current top artists. She will be playing a variety of songs from her new CD as well as some of her favorite holiday standards such as, “White Christmas” and “Silent Night”.
