Season 10 of the Geek Lights on the Corner Christmas lights and music show is currently underway. Public performances of this much-loved show began December 2 and will run each night through January 6.

The Geek Lights on the Corner is pleased to announce the selection of the National Foundation for Cancer Research as the Season 10 donation recipient. There will be a collection box in the viewing area throughout the season, with 100% of the money collected going to support the NFCR’s cutting-edge cancer research programs. The Geek Lights consists of Christmas lights and other themed display elements, all under computer control and synchronized to music. Each show opens with a story to set the mood, followed by 25 minutes of music and dancing lights. In this year’s story, a system failure brings the lightshow down just as it’s getting started. We meet “Chief Elf Twinkle”, whose job it is to coordinate all the elves that run the lights from Geek Light Control, a large complex hidden somewhere behind the Geek House. The elves develop a bit of an ego problem as they squabble over which one is the most important part of the show, and of Christmas itself. Only a special visitor can turn things around, and get the show back on track! Will he succeed? You’ll have to come see the show to find out!
The show is the technical wizardry of Jeff Werner, the “Northwest Florida Geek” and Wendy Werner, his “Spouse Peripheral”. Jeff is author of the weekly computers and technology Q&A feature “It’s Geek to Me,” which appears on Saturdays in the Northwest Florida Daily News, online at ItsGeekToMe.co, and in other newspapers across the country.
