The App also has active push notifications, so users can choose to receive direct messages about the latest happenings here such as road closures, base emergencies, etc.
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — Need a quick phone number, news update or want to know what’s happening on Eglin… Now, there’s an app for that.
The Eglin Air Force Base App is currently available for free download to Android and IPhone devices.
“In this digital age, we wanted to provide a more mobile option for Eglin users to get the information they need as quickly and simply as possible,” said Rick Smith, Military Media Inc., president, who’s company built the App.
“Military Media Inc. is pleased to bring this new App to base personnel, new comers, retirees and anyone else who can benefit from its use,” said Rick Smith, MMI president. The information provided through the App allows users to have base news, contacts and more right at their fingertips.”
