FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. — Eglin Federal Credit Union has recognized a longtime employee for 25 years of service as she prepares to retire early next year.
Mary Calvert, Information Systems Core Systems Computer Operator II, was honored Sept. 29 during a celebratory breakfast at the credit union’s Operations Center. Friends and coworkers gathered to recognize her service and contributions to Eglin FCU.
“Thank you, Mary, for 25 years of outstanding service and commitment to Eglin Federal Credit Union,” said Information Systems Manager Susan Coup.
“Your hard work, positive attitude, and willingness to support others have made a lasting impact on both our members and your coworkers.”
“As you celebrate this remarkable milestone and prepare for your retirement on January 4, we proudly recognize your achievements and the legacy you leave behind. Congratulations, and thank you for everything you have done for Eglin FCU,” Ms Coup said.
Calvert began her career with Eglin FCU on Aug. 31, 2001, as a full-time teller at the Hurlburt Field Branch. She served members in that position for more than 20 years.
In July 2022, Ms Calvert was promoted to Information Systems Computer/Imaging Operator at the Fort Walton Beach Branch. She advanced to IS Core Systems Computer Operator I in August 2025 and was promoted again the following month to IS Core Systems Computer Operator II.
“As I look back on the past 25 years, I am incredibly grateful for the people who have been part of my journey,” Calvert said.
“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside amazing teams who supported one another through challenges, celebrated successes, and helped each other grow.”
“Serving our members as a Teller was deeply rewarding, and I have also enjoyed supporting our employees in my current role within Information Systems. Eglin FCU has provided me with meaningful opportunities, lasting friendships, and a strong sense of purpose throughout my career,” she said.
“As retirement approaches, I look forward to making the most of my remaining time with my Credit Union family while also embracing the exciting new chapter ahead,” Ms Calvert said.
Calvert, who lives in Fort Walton Beach, is scheduled to retire Jan. 4.
