The one-day event, organized by the Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation, placed students in real-world scenarios designed to teach practical money management skills.

Students were assigned careers, salaries, and family situations, then rotated through interactive stations such as housing, utilities, insurance, and communications.

At each stop, they made simulated financial decisions, paid expenses, and built budgets, gaining firsthand experience with the costs and responsibilities of adult life.

The Okaloosa County School District said the hands-on format helps students better understand the importance of budgeting and financial planning before entering the workforce.
