NICEVILLE, Fla. — The Niceville High School Theatre Department will present the musical “Footloose” this May at the Niceville High School Auditorium.
Based on the hit 1980s film, the stage production features music by Tom Snow with lyrics by Dean Pitchford, along with additional music by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins, and Jim Steinman.
Performances are scheduled for May 1 and May 2, and May 8 and May 9. Friday shows begin at 7 p.m., while Saturday performances are set for 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The high-energy musical tells the story of a city teenager who moves to a small town where dancing has been banned, sparking a movement that challenges the community and brings people together through music and self-expression.
Tickets are $15 for general admission and $20 for a VIP package. All tickets are available exclusively online through GoFan.
The production is under the direction of Ritchie Jackson, Director of the NHS Theatre Department.
Organizers said the show is expected to draw strong interest and encouraged attendees to purchase tickets early.
The performances will take place at the Niceville High School Auditorium, 800 East John Sims Parkway in Niceville.
