The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) announced that Maitlin White, 28, was arrested on January 9 by the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force with assistance from the sheriff’s office.

According to Harris County, Texas authorities, Ms White is wanted on charges related to online harassment.

Investigators said she allegedly pretended to be a family member of a victim of the Camp Mystic flooding deaths that occurred on July 24, 2025, in order to solicit cash donations.
