According to the OCSO, the driver provided a license plate number, and deputies used Flock to obtain an image of the pickup. A deputy in Destin soon spotted the truck traveling on Highway 98 and saw signs of impairment as he followed it.

The deputy attempted a traffic stop, but the driver continued at 23 miles per hour before eventually stopping in the middle lane of Highway 98 near Indian Bayou Trail, the OCSO said.

When deputies approached the vehicle, a young child exited the back door and walked toward them. The child was unharmed.
