NICEVILLE, Fla. — Several streets near Niceville High School and Ruckel Middle School will be temporarily closed Saturday, November 15, for the City of Niceville’s annual Veterans Day parade.
According to the City of Niceville, road closures and lane shifts will begin at 9:30 a.m. and remain in place until about 1 p.m. The closures will affect traffic along John Sims Parkway and Partin Drive, with detours and temporary traffic patterns marked during the event.
Sections of Elm Street, Juniper Street, Mayo Street, Cedar Avenue, 37th Street, and Marc Smith Boulevard will be closed to through traffic. Palm Boulevard and other connecting residential streets near the parade route will also have restricted access.
Traffic will flow one way along designated corridors, with cones separating lanes and “no left turn” restrictions in place at Partin Drive and Cedar Avenue. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and allow extra travel time.
The parade route will follow John Sims Parkway near Niceville High School before looping around the surrounding streets, as shown in the traffic advisory map released by the City of Niceville.
Normal traffic patterns are expected to resume around 1 p.m.
