In Okaloosa County, work related to the Brooks Bridge replacement will prompt alternating lane closures on U.S. 98 between Ferry Road and Pier Road and on Santa Rosa Boulevard near Ross Marler Park nightly from Sunday, June 1 through Thursday, June 5, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Interstate 10 will have alternating lane closures for striping between mile markers 50 and 60 on June 3 through June 5 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

On P.J. Adams Parkway, drivers between Crab Apple Avenue and Antioch Road can expect lane closures on Saturday, May 31, and Saturday, June 7, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for drainage pipe installation. Law enforcement and traffic flaggers will be present to assist motorists.

Additional Okaloosa impacts include:

  • U.S. 98 from Josie Road to Florida Place Southeast: intermittent nighttime lane closures for signal work and striping.
  • State Road 85 between Hospital Drive and U.S. 90: intermittent closures from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for paving.
  • State Road 20 bridge over Rocky Bayou: nighttime closures June 2–6.
  • I-10 bridge over Yellow River: intermittent lane closures west of S.R. 85 on June 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In Walton County, resurfacing and coring operations will affect several routes:

  • U.S. 331 northbound at U.S. 90: right-turn lane closed, detour in place using left-turn lane.
  • U.S. 90 westbound near U.S. 331: The outside lane is closed; one travel lane remains open.
  • State Road 20 between C.R. 883 and S.R. 81: nighttime lane closures through June 3.
  • U.S. 90 from Country Club Drive to the Holmes County line: lane closures June 2 and 4.

All construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. FDOT urges drivers to use caution in work zones, especially at night, and to be alert for workers and equipment entering or exiting the roadway.
