DESTIN, Fla. – Costa Enterprises McDonald’s has promoted two key employees.
Theresa McKone is now the human resources manager for Costa Enterprises, and Jan Smaw is the area supervisor.
According to an announcement by Costa Enterprises McDonald’s, McKone previously held the title of people experience lead, which focused on retention, staffing, and supporting three of the company’s supervisors. Her new position will include a lot of the same responsibilities while adding a focus on employee relations and compliance.
Smaw previously held the title of junior supervisor and led the company’s Callaway and Harrison locations. She will continue to work closely with those restaurants while adding the Lynn Haven and Freeport locations to her roster.
Costa Enterprises has been a long-time employer for McKone. Over a decade ago, McKone began her path with the company when she was 15 years old, working as a crew member at the Bluewater Bay location before being promoted to shift manager.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to work with mid-managers and the leadership team to help build a culture in our restaurants that makes our employees excited to come to work every day,” McKone said.
“My goal is to make Costa Enterprises McDonald’s the first choice when looking for a job.”
Costa Enterprises has also been a long-time employer of Smaw. She began her career with McDonald’s in 2009 as a shift manager at the St. Andrews location before being promoted to general manager in 2012.
Costa Enterprises employs over 1,400 employees across its 28 locations.
