U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales Howard has sentenced Shawn Curtis Robinson, Jr., 33, of Jacksonville, to 10 years in federal prison for distributing over 50 grams of pure methamphetamine.

Robinson pleaded guilty on December 28, 2021.

According to court documents, Robinson started selling methamphetamine to an undercover detective in March 2021. The methamphetamine purity level was very high, with one laboratory placing its purity level at 100%.

Robinson was ultimately held responsible for the distribution of almost one-fourth kilogram of pure methamphetamine, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida said.

This case was investigated by the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Drug Enforcement Administration. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Laura Taylor and Frank Talbot.
