NICEVILLE, Fla. — Three members of the Niceville City Council have been reelected without opposition, according to the Okaloosa County Supervisor of Elections Office.
Niceville City Council members Bill Schaetzle, Group 1, Abner Williams, Group 3, and Cathy Alley, Group 5, will each serve a four-year term as a result of running unopposed.
Alley was first elected in 2019, Williams in 2020, and Schaetzle in 2011, according to the City of Niceville’s website.
The three council seats are the only ones up for election this year.
The 2023 municipal elections are on March 14 in Okaloosa County.
The City of Niceville amended its charter in August, transferring its municipal election to the Okaloosa County Supervisor of Elections Office. Future city elections will be held on the second Tuesday of March in odd-numbered years, the city said in a statement.
