CRESTVIEW, Fla. — Allyson LaVictoire has been appointed principal of Riverside Elementary School in Crestview. Her appointment was confirmed by the Okaloosa County School Board on Monday.
LaVictoire taught first and third grades at Northwood Elementary School for seven years. In 2017, she became an English Language Arts (ELA) Instructional Coach.
As an ELA coach, she has coached teachers of all grade levels at Laurel Hill School, Antioch Elementary School, Riverside Elementary School, Plew Elementary School, and Southside Primary School, the Okaloosa County School District (OCSD) said in a statement.
LaVictoire served as an assistant principal at Laurel Hill School and Crestview High School.
A product of the Okaloosa County School District, LaVictoire attended Northwood Elementary School, Walker Elementary School, Richbourg Middle School, and Crestview High School.
A graduate of Northwest Florida State College with a degree in Elementary Education, LaVictoire earned a master’s degree in Education Leadership from the University of West Florida after nine years serving as a classroom teacher, the OCSD said.
LaVictoire married her husband Benjamin of 12 years in 2010. Benjamin is an ELA teacher at Crestview High School. Together, they have two children, Jameson, age 8, and Harper, age 7. Jameson and Harper will be attending Riverside Elementary School.
LaVictoire said she is thrilled to soar with the eagles as Riverside Elementary School’s new principal.
