FLORIDA –The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has announced the arrest of Correctional Officer Sgt. Jeremy Godbolt, 28, for murder.
The LAX Airport Police arrested Godbolt at the Los Angeles International Airport on Friday.
Godbolt is charged with the murder of an inmate at Dade Correctional Institution on February 14, 2022, the FDLE said.
The FDLE alleges that Godbolt and three other correctional officers severally beat an inmate, leading to his death. See the related story here.
