Bay and Jackson traffic advisory includes delays, lane closures

BAY COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Bay County and Jackson County as crews perform construction and maintenance activities,  according to the Florida Department of Transportation.

Bay County:

State Road (S.R.) 390 Widening from Jenks Avenue to S.R. 77
Drivers may encounter intermittent lane closures at the Pennsylvania Avenue and Indiana Avenue intersections for paving work. Kentucky Avenue is closed at S.R. 390. Pedestrian traffic along S.R. 77 (Ohio Avenue) is shifted to the west side of the roadway, between 12th Street and the S.R. 390 intersection.

Expect minor delays at various locations as the contractor works to complete this section of the roadway

S.R. 390 Widening from 23rd Street to Baldwin Road
Crews are reconstructing the Stanford Road intersection at S.R. 390. The intersection remains open, but work is expected to continue through mid-April.

Niceville Florida Community Farmers Market at Palm Plaza

U.S. 98 (Beach Drive) Resurfacing from 15th Street to West of Harrison Avenue

Drivers will encounter intermittent lane restrictions on Beck Avenue from 15th Street to 10th Street, Sunday, April 3 through Friday, April 8 from 10 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. for sidewalk and curb work.

U.S. 98/TAFB Flyover
U.S. 98 westbound traffic, from Louisiana Avenue to Tyndall Drive — Airey Avenue, will be shifted slightly north next week so work may continue to construct the elevated travel lanes. No oversized permit loads will be allowed while the lane shift is in place.

U.S. 98 (Panama City Beach Parkway) Resurfacing from Walton County Line to Heather Drive
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane and shoulder closures the week of Monday, April 4, for concrete operations.

U.S. 20 Resurfacing from S.R. 77 to U.S. 231
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures at Blue Springs Road the week of Monday, April 4 for paving operations.

U.S. 231 Routine Maintenance from Transmitter Road to Brannon Road
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures Tuesday, April 5 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for paving operations.

Jackson County:

U.S. 231 Resurfacing from Bay County Line to Pike Pond Road
Motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures from Monday, April 4 through Friday, April 8 for paving operations.

All planned construction activities are weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to pay attention to the reduced speed limit when traveling through the construction area.
