Swordfish Showdown winners announced

Bluewater Swordfish Showdown 2014, Niceville FL

Bluewater Bay Marina has announced the winners of its 2nd Annual Swordfish Showdown which was held September 27 – October 25, 2014.

The Swordfish Division winner is Brett Hinely with a 79.50 lb swordfish caught off of his Sailboat, The Diamond

The Dolphin Division winner is Danai Malawong with a 13.25 lb dolphin caught off of his boat, Wild Cat. Wild Cat also brought in the winning Wahoo weighing in at 34.90 lbs.

This year three additional divisions were added to the Showdown: Dolphin, Wahoo and Yellowfin Tuna.  No Yellowfin Tuna were weighed in during the tournament.

Winners were recognized at an awards ceremony at LJ Schooners Dockside Restaurant and Oyster Bar with medallions and award checks.
