NICEVILLE, Fla — The Florida Department of Health on Wednesday reported 25 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County. There are five new cases in Niceville and Valparaiso.
The FDOH reports 1,032 vaccinations were administered in Okaloosa County the previous day. The cumulative number of people vaccinated in Okaloosa is 30,343. The number of people who have completed the vaccination series in Okaloosa is 19,115, according to FDOH data.
The cumulative number of COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa is 19,341.
The FDOH reports the total number of people killed by COVID-19 in Okaloosa is 336, two more deaths since the previous report.
Statewide, 4,853 new cases were reported by the FDOH. The current cumulative total is 1,957,586. The total number of Florida residents who have died from COVID-19 in the state is 31,948.
The cumulative number of hospitalizations in Okaloosa is 694, one more since the previous day. Currently, there are 17 COVID-19 patients in Okaloosa County hospitals.

According to the FDOH, since the previous report, there were 545 test results returned in Okaloosa with 30 positives. The daily positivity rate is 5.5 percent.
