The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County this morning totals 35, four more than Sunday morning. The number of confirmed cases in Niceville remained at 10 while the number of confirmed cases in Destin rose from 10 to 13 over the past 24 hours.

NICEVILLE, FLA — The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Okaloosa County this morning totals 35, four more than Sunday morning. The number of confirmed cases in Niceville remained at 10 while the number of confirmed cases in Destin rose from 10 to 13 over the past 24 hours.

An 87-year-old man living in Okaloosa County has died of coronavirus and is the first fatality related to COVID-19 in the county, according to the Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County. The fatality is non-travel related.

Across the state, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases is now 5,473 with 652 hospitalized and 63 deaths.
