Eglin Federal Credit Union announced that Kimberly Hixon, a Member Service Counselor II, has completed three decades of service. A celebratory breakfast was held on April 2 at the North Crestview Branch, where colleagues, friends, and family gathered to recognize her contributions.

North Crestview Branch Manager Marilyn Boyer highlighted Hixon’s long-standing impact on the branch and its members.

“Kim has served the North Crestview Branch for 20 of her 30 years with Eglin FCU, and we deeply value the wisdom and knowledge she has gained during that time,” said Ms Boyer.

“She consistently provides excellent member service and is always willing to share her expertise with her teammates. Kim is a fixture in this community, and members regularly ask for her by name.”

She also noted Hixon’s upcoming promotion to Member Service Supervisor at the DeFuniak Springs Branch, adding that while she will be missed in Crestview, the team is proud of her accomplishments and confident she will continue to serve members well in her new role.

Ms Hixon began her career with Eglin Federal Credit Union on April 23, 1996, as a teller at the Eglin Air Force Base Branch. The following year, she moved to the Bluewater Bay Branch and was promoted to Membership Officer.

From 2003 to 2006, Ms Hixon worked at the South Crestview Branch as a teller before moving to the North Crestview Branch, where she served as a senior teller and Membership Officer. In 2007, she became a Member Service Counselor and has served in that role for more than 17 years.

In 2024, she was promoted to Member Service Counselor II. She is expected to transition to the DeFuniak Springs Branch later this year as Member Service Supervisor when the new location opens.

Hixon reflected on her career and the relationships she has built over the years.

“I wouldn’t be who I am today without Eglin FCU and the amazing people I’ve met along the way,” Ms Hixon said.

“Everyone here has played a part in my journey, and I truly consider this a family. The growth I’ve witnessed over the years has been inspiring, and I appreciate that our growth has always kept our members’ needs top of mind.”

She said that adapting to new policies, procedures, and ways of operating has been a constant throughout her career, and that she has viewed those changes as opportunities to improve efficiency and the member experience.

“Our members are our purpose, and I am honored to serve them and always strive to exceed their expectations.”
