Gift tickets and print at home tickets for 2017 national shows at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center available now
Tickets for all 2017 national touring events appearing in the 1,650 seat Mainstage Theater at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville are now on sale and holiday gift packs are available. Patrons purchasing tickets as gifts should contact the Box Office by phone or in person by December 15 in order to receive a free gift sleeve for tickets as well as printed show information. New this year, patrons may also purchase online and select a new “print at home” option to print official tickets at home over the holidays. Online only sales are December 16 to January 2 through the center’s official website at www.MattieKellyArtsCenter.org.
The Mattie Kelly Arts Center is a non-profit entity of NWF State College and a portion of all ticket proceeds support scholarships at the college.
On tap for 2017 are 8 national show including Detroit’s premier contemporary dance troupe EISENHOWER DANCE presenting “In Power & Passion” on January 13, 2017 and TV, film and Broadway star JASON ALEXANDER on January 21 for the Arts Center’s 20th Anniversary and the 30th Anniversary of the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. The national tours of two hit Broadway musicals, PIPPIN and 42nd STREET, appear January 24 and February 9 respectively. The 1970’s concert experience THE PIANO MEN: A TRIBUTE TO BILLY JOEL & ELTON JOHN appears February 11. The family-friendly and family-priced DINOSAUR ZOO LIVE from Australia appears February 21 with an early start-time of 7:00 pm for the one-hour show that’s trilled children across the world. The college’s science department will host a special fossil display in the lobby that may be viewed before and after the show.
A new Broadway musical and rock concert experience close out the 20th Season. The 8-time Tony and Grammy award-winning Broadway musical ONCE appears February 27 with a cast of musician actors who present a night of gutsy Irish music making and a smash hit love story that’s perfect for a date night or girl’s night out. Concluding the Art Center’s 20th Anniversary national touring season on April 13, 2017 is the rock concert experience from London, ONE NIGHT OF QUEEN with Gary Mullen & The Works.
Ticket prices for 2017 national touring events range from $15 for DINO ZOO to $25 and $35 for Artist Events, $45 for Broadway musicals and $65 for the 20th Anniversary Evening with Jason Alexander.
