Water quality advisory issued for Okaloosa County parks

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County has issued a water quality advisory for three popular parks: Liza Jackson Park, Marler Park, and James Lee Park.

The advisory follows water tests conducted on August 19, which indicated that the water quality meets recreational water standards for Enterococcus bacteria as recommended by the Florida Department of Health.

The parks affected are Liza Jackson Park at 338 Miracle Strip Parkway SW in Fort Walton Beach, Marler Park at 1275 Santa Rosa Boulevard in Fort Walton Beach, and James Lee Park at 3510 Scenic Highway 98 in Destin.
