According to the WCSO, its Street Crimes Unit arrested Christopher Wayne Ponds, 23, on felony warrants from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office. During the arrest, Mr Ponds is alleged to have resisted deputies and was additionally charged with obstruction without violence.

The WCSO said Ponds is also the suspect in a vehicle theft reported to have taken place on March 17 in the vicinity of Linda Lane in DeFuniak Springs. The WCSO Criminal Investigations Unit reportedly recovered the vehicle.

Additional charges are forthcoming, the WCSO said.
