This part of U.S. 98 has been widened from four to six travel lanes (three east and three westbound).

According to the FDOT, construction will continue along this segment of U.S. 98 over the next few months as crews complete work list items.

Drivers are reminded that intermittent, single-lane closures may occur Sunday through Thursday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

The widening project from Mack Bayou Road to County Road 30A is estimated to be completed in the summer of 2024.
