The Niceville Police Department said Inspector Teets conducted the stop at 9:21 a.m. Jan. 16 on 32nd Street after reportedly observing a vehicle fail to obey a posted stop sign and discard litter.

The driver was identified as Donel Demetrius McClain, 40.

During the stop, K9 Kodi conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and reportedly alerted, which police said provided probable cause for a search.
