OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has announced nighttime lane closures and other traffic disruptions across Okaloosa County this week due to ongoing construction and utility work. Drivers in Walton County can also expect lane closures and detours along U.S. 331 and U.S. 90 due to resurfacing projects.

OKALOOSA COUNTY
— Brooks Bridge Replacement Project
U.S. 98 alternating lane closures between Ferry Road and Pier Road, and Santa Rosa Boulevard alternating closures from east of Amberjack Drive to Ross Marler Park. Work is scheduled Sunday, June 15 through Thursday, June 19, between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
— Interstate 10 Resurfacing
I-10 lane closures between mile markers 50 and 60 from Sunday through Thursday, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., for striping operations.
— U.S. 98 Resurfacing (Mary Esther to Fort Walton Beach)
Intermittent lane closures between Josie Road and Florida Place Southeast for signalization work and thermoplastic striping. Work takes place nightly from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., June 15–19.
— State Road 85 Resurfacing (Hospital Drive to U.S. 90)
Lane closures from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., June 15–19, for paving operations.
— State Road 85 Improvements (State Road 123 to Hospital Drive)
Lane closures from south of Shoal River to P.J. Adams Parkway, plus northbound right-turn lane closures at John King Road. Work runs 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., June 15–19.
— State Road 85 Utility Maintenance (10th Avenue to Gardner Drive)
Intermittent daytime closures from Friday, June 13 through Thursday, June 26, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., for power pole replacement.

WALTON COUNTY
— U.S. 331 Resurfacing (south of I-10 to U.S. 90)
The U.S. 331 northbound outside the right-turn lane is closed at the U.S. 90 intersection. One northbound left-turn lane and a shared left/right-turn lane remain open. Additionally, the U.S. 90 westbound outside lane is closed between 11th Street and U.S. 331, though one travel lane and one left-turn lane remain open.
All work is weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled. FDOT urges drivers to use caution in work zones and to watch for crews and equipment near the roadway.
