“This donation of two patrol vehicles will have a substantial impact on the training we are able to offer our Public Safety students,” said Dr. Devin Stephenson, President.  “By investing in our students, corporate partners like the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office are also investing in the future of their own agency.”

Northwest Florida State College received a generous in-kind gift of two patrol vehicles from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), estimated at $7,000, that will benefit the Criminal Justice Training Center at NWF.

The Criminal Justice Training Center is the “hands-on” portion of the Public Safety Program at Northwest Florida State College. The program focuses on providing the best possible training facilities, equipment and instruction to local law enforcement agencies and new academy recruits. Emergency Vehicle Operations is a major component of the courses taught at the center, and this type of training takes an immense toll on a vehicle fleet. The gift from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office will allow the training center to continue to teach students with reliable equipment.
