Aden, who ran unopposed to become sheriff in 2020, faced two challengers this year in a universal primary open to all registered voters.

Sheriff Aden ran on his record since taking office in 2021, highlighting significant achievements such as reducing violent crime by 26%, increasing transparency within the department, and improving officer training programs.

Ronald Livingston, who finished second, garnered 23.17% of the vote, while Edward “Eddie” Perillo received 10.25%. All candidates in the race were registered Republicans.
