Family activities at Pioneer Day Niceville include candle-dipping, rag doll making, butter churning, shingle making and campfire cooking demonstration.
Step back in time and learn how pioneers worked and lived in the Niceville area at the 2018 Pioneer Day Niceville, Saturday, November 10, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Fred Gannon Rocky Bayou State Park.
The annual Pioneer Day Niceville event, sponsored by Friends of the Emerald Coast State Parks, features more than 30 exhibits and hand-on crafts projects.
Family activities will include candle-dipping, rag doll making, butter churning, shingle making and campfire cooking demonstration.

Pioneer Day displays will also include early folk toys and a 19th century chuck wagon.
Speakers will talk about the turpentine industry that flourished in our area back in the day.
Vintage music will be played on flutes, banjos and harmonicas.
There is no charge to attend the event, however, regular park entrance fees apply. Please leave pets at home.
