CRESTVIEW, Fla. — Paving operations were underway last week on State Road 85 between the Shoal River Bridge and State Road 123, according to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).
In the photo above, crews place the structural layer of asphalt on the S.R. 85 outside southbound travel lane, just south of the Shoal River Bridge.
Drivers are reminded that single lane closures on S.R. 85 will occur between the Shoal River Bridge and S.R. 123 during the following times:
S.R. 85 southbound lane closures, 10 a.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
S.R. 85 northbound lane closures, 8 p.m. to 1 p.m. the following afternoon
Paving operations are part of a $25 million project to resurface an 11-mile section of S.R. 85, make improvements at the S.R. 85/I-10 interchange, and upgrade access management for key turn lanes, side streets, driveways, and median openings.
This project is currently estimated for completion in mid-2024.
