SHALIMAR, Fla. — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is working to track down three murder suspects in two separate homicide cases and is asking the public to help keep an eye out or share any information that can lead to their locations.
A news conference was held Wednesday to outline the ongoing investigations involving the shooting death of 48-year-old Earnest Riggs Jr. on March 17, 2021, and the unrelated shooting death of 44-year-old Nancey Schreiner on February 9, 2021.
Sheriff Eric Aden and State Attorney Ginger Madden gave an update on the investigations at the press event.
One of three suspects in the Schreiner case has now been arrested. Travon’te Mclaughlin, 23, of Crestview, is charged with murder while engaged in a felony offense and firing a missile into an occupied residence.
He was taken into custody on Tuesday.
Investigators continue to work to locate co-defendants Jacob Gabay and Tyauvion Morris of Crestview.
In the Riggs homicide investigation, OCSO investigators are looking for 19-year-old John Galvao-Sahb who has an active warrant for first-degree premeditated murder.
Aden says investigators have been relentless in pursuing evidence to find justice for the victims, and now public assistance can be vital in locating the wanted individuals.
