The $3.4 million S.R. 85 construction project between John Sims Parkway (S.R. 20) and College Boulevard is underway. Crews are constructing sidewalks on the east side of S.R. 85, shown on the left side of the photo, between Eglin Air Force Base Natural Resources Park and the Twin Oaks Sports Complex in Okaloosa County. Crews will also mill and resurface the 1.5-mile segment of S.R. 85, repair sidewalks on the west side of S.R. 85, and enhance drainage. The project is anticipated for completion later this year.
